· Sick Leave Bank: Article 11:4 - 11.6

 

11.4 A Sick leave bank shall be established to provide additional sick leave for Classified employees when:

 

A. an extended absence due to illness or injury has depleted an individual’s available leave resulting in a financial crisis for the employee;

 

B. no other sources are reasonably available to make up the loss of income resulting from a lack of paid leave;

 

C. a sufficient amount of sick leave has been contributed by other Classified employees from which to make allocations.

 

11.6

g. Sick Leave requests will be considered only for periods of incapacity due to pregnancy or prenatal care that is medically necessary. Requests shall not be made to extend maternity leave for reasons that are not medically necessary.
