Conference 2008:
Another Successful Year!

"It was an incredible experience!" said Stan Gandy, a first- time delegate from Seaside Chapter 107, at the conclusion of OSEA's Conference 2008.

The three-day Conference at the Portland Airport Holiday Inn began with a celebration of OSEA's 70 years of service and the new affiliation with AFT. During the business sessions, members voted on candidates for state offices and on five resolutions. Delegates also gave generously to the Doernbecher Teddy Bear Drive and the toiletries drive for battered women's shelters. And money was raised for the member assistance fund during BINGO and for the GRO SEED and VOICE Funds during the GRO Silent and LIVE Auctions.

For complete information about Conference, be sure to read the Conference minutes, which will be in the September 2008 issue of the Journal.
