Secretary
EVERICE MORO

When it comes to education, Everice Moro has worked with not only children and teenagers, but also with adults and families, assisting every age with education. What began as a few babysitting jobs around her parents’ home in Southeast Portland led to the Early Childhood Education program at Lane Community College. From there she worked in a daycare, a sheltered workshop for developmentally disabled adults, a transition housing facility for families, and at Portland Public Schools until she was hired as an educational assistant for Estacada School District, where she has stayed for the past 24 years. Everice’s husband of nearly 30 years also worked for Estacada School District for 14 years as a custodian. Over the years, they had four children.

Busy with life – her job and her family – Everice wasn’t heavily involved with OSEA at first. Then she won an OSEA scholarship, which led her to get involved by becoming a 2002 summer Government Relations Intern. From there she was elected Chapter Vice President, joined state committees, and attended Member Organizer Training. She also traveled to Washington, D.C. for the AACSE Legislative Conference. Then, at the 2004 and 2006 Conferences, Everice was elected State Secretary.
