The OSEA State Board of Directors represents the interests of members throughout Oregon. The Board of Directors shall be composed of the President, Vice President, Secretary, and seven Zone Directors as voting members. The Junior Past President serves on the Board in an honorary, nonvoting capacity. Conference delegates elect all Board members to their respective positions.
To ensure that all OSEA members are represented on the OSEA State Board of Directors, Zone Directors are elected by the Conference delegates from his/her individual zone. Zone Directors serve on the Board for a two-year term. On even-numbered years, the delegates vote for Zone Directors 2, 4, and 6. On odd-numbered years, delegates vote for Zone Directors 1, 3, 5, and 7. This system ensures experienced leadership on the Board every year. Each Zone Director holds at least two zone meetings per year.
Between Annual Conferences, the Board of Directors conducts the necessary business of the Association.

Board Meetings
The Board has scheduled meetings for the school year. All OSEA members are encouraged to attend.

Board Agenda
For every Board meeting, an agenda is drawn up to permit time for all matters needing the Board's attention. Each Board meeting also includes “Member New Business.” This agenda item is for OSEA members to propose business items that need to be addressed by the Board.
