Eugene Chapter #1 General Meeting

October 20, 2005

Vice-President Kathy Wiebke called the meeting to order in the absence of President Jill Simmons.
This months meeting was held in the library of North Eugene High School.

The flag was saluted.

Minutes - The September minutes were read by Secretary Linda Warner. It was motioned by Theresa Shelby that they be approved with the correction of Molly Olstedt's last name.

Treasurer's Report - Treasurer Judy Haack reported that $11,884.72 was in the General Fund and $$7,653.78 was in the President's Release Fund. The report stands as read.

Building Steward Celebration - Kathy Wiebke reminded members of the October 27 th Steward Celebration to be held at the Eugene Electric Station. Jill Simmons will introduce several OSEA staff members. Pete Mooers asked how many building steward's had responded to the invite.

Sick Leave Bank - Linda Warner reported on the Sick Leave Bank. The open enrollment ends Monday, October 31st .

Ratification and Vote Meeting - Ratification and vote on our tentative agreement will be held in the South Eugene Auditorium on Tuesday, November 8 th . The first meeting will be 12:00 - 1:30 and the second meeting will be 5:15 - 6:45. These meetings will provide a time to ask questions and vote. Kathie Tagwerker answered questions.

Conference 2005 - Gretchen Elliott gave an overview of Conference 2005. She stated that a terrific time was had by all. Kathie Tagwerker added that it was interesting to hear what other chapters have to go through and how lucky we have it in 4J. Kathy Wiebke talked about the Resolution Committee and what our President did to get a full time state president. Kathie Tagwerker also added some information as it pertains only to Food Service.

Door Prize - Linda Warner, I.A. Sheldon Life Skills, won the $25.00 door prize.

Other - Kathy Wiebke thanked Theresa Shelby for taking over as the Ed Center Area Representative.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:53 p.m.
