Sick Leave Bank: Article 11:4 - 11.6

 

11.4 A Sick leave bank shall be established to provide additional sick leave for Classified employees when:

 

A. an extended absence due to illness or injury has depleted an individual’s available leave resulting in a financial crisis for the employee;

 

B. no other sources are reasonably available to make up the loss of income resulting from a lack of paid leave;

 

C. a sufficient amount of sick leave has been contributed by other Classified employees from which to make allocations.

 

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

With regard to use of access to the Sick Leave Bank for maternity leave it is understood that requests be pursuant to those as outlined on the Sick Leave Bank Request form only, specifically:---any period of incapacity due to pregnancy or prenatal care that is medically necessary. Requests would not be made to extend maternity leave.
