OSEA Chapter 600 - Lane County Head Start
The Oregon School Employees Association sponsors two $1000 scholarships in
each of the seven zones for classified and Head Start employees to further
their education in an accredited school. Applicants must be OSEA members in
good standing as of December 31, 2003 to be eligible. This would be a great
way for Head Start employees to finance continuing education or education to
meet the needs of the Federal mandates for teachers and associate teachers.
Applicants will be accepted on the following criteria:
*A brief statement, not to exceed 150 words, describing your educational
interests, plans, and activities both inside and outside your work.
*Attach two references that include a brief statement about you. One of these references must be from an OSEA member.
*The application must be postmarked on or before February 2, 2004.
Winners will be notified in the spring of 2004 and honored during the OSEA
annual conference in June.
