First Timers Orientation
Is this your first time at Conference? Are you excited, but also a little uncertain and wondering how you will know what to do and where to go? We have planned a First Timers Orientation to introduce you to the Conference process and give you an opportunity to ask questions. Please plan to attend on Friday, June 25 at 8:00 a.m.
Also, we would like to remind you to bring the first-timers postcard with you when you attend Conference. There will be a drawing at the orientation.
Parade of Banners
During Conference, there is a Parade of Banners. Music plays and Chapters proudly march throughout the Conference center displaying their Chapter banners. Then, those banners will be displayed on the walls of the conference center to be enjoyed throughout Conference.
Banners can be made out of any durable material, such as fabric, vinyl, or even paper. You could make a quilt, tapestry, paintingbe creative! We have inner-city, metropolitan, coastal, mountain, rural, and other types of Chapters. The ideal size is four feet by four feet. However, we will try to accommodate any size you make.
BINGO
Thursday night after the last session is BINGO. Cost is only $1.00 per card, two cards maximum per player until everyone has had the opportunity to participate. All proceeds go to the Member Assistance Fund. There will be great prizes, free refreshments, and lots of fun!

Auction Donations
Donate items to be auctioned off for the silent and LIVE auctions. All proceeds go to the VOICE fund for political action. Items must be in good condition. Past donations have been gift baskets, handcrafted items, gift certificates, and autographed memorabilia. Call 1-800-252-6732 for more information. Also, be sure to bring extra money so you can bid and bid often on the items you love!
Doernbecher Children's Hospital Beanie Baby and Toy Drive
Bring stuffed animals, toys, and games for the children of Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. For the health and safety of the children, please donate only NEW items. Donations are collected in the registration area of the conference center. The drive will be ongoing throughout Conference until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010. The drive is organized and hosted by the OSEA Public Relations Committee.
Door Prizes
Before the start of each session, the Conference chairs announce winners of door prizes. This is a wonderful and effective way to welcome delegates and encourage timeliness (you must be present to win). As a Chapter, bring enough door prizes for the number of delegates you are sending to Conference. That way, if every Chapter participates, there will be enough door prizes to ensure that every delegate goes home with a prize.
Banquet
The banquet is on Friday, June 25, after the business of Conference has completed. This is an opportunity for delegates to relax and enjoy a wonderful dinner together to celebrate the successful completion of union business. RSVP to banquet when you fill out the delegate registration form. Sign up sheets for table assignments are posted in the conference center foyer during Conference for those delegates who registered to attend banquet.
