Field Representative

The Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) is accepting resumes from individuals that are interested in working for a labor organization in the capacity of Field Representative. OSEA currently has one Field Representative position open.
The Oregon School Employees Association is a membership-directed labor organization and represents employees working in Oregon's K-12 schools, community colleges, Head Starts, education service districts, and parks and recreation districts. In addition to the Salem headquarters office, OSEA has eight field offices located throughout the state of Oregon.
Individuals submitting a letter of interest and resume for this position should include their educational background and work experience. Specifically, resumes should include applicant’s experience and knowledge in collective bargaining, contract administration, and all labor relations and organizing related experiences, and provide examples of communication and planning skills.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Works under the general supervision of the Director of Field Operations; assists local Chapters in developing and implementing programs of employee advocacy with particular emphasis on internal organizing, member empowerment, negotiations, mediation, coalition building, political action, contract administration, public relations, Chapter administration, and other related work as required.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Starting salary $51,816 per year; health benefits; pension plan; dental insurance; employer-provided automobile.
JOB LOCATION:
The open position is located in the North Coast Office. Selected candidate may need to relocate.
