State Committees

State Committees provide opportunities for personal growth, new friendships, and rewarding accomplishments. There are nine OSEA State Committees:

Election
Finance
Government Relations
Member Benefits
Public Relations
Resolutions/Constitution
Scholarship Review

The State Committee members provide input and recommendations to the OSEA Board of Directors regarding different aspects of the Association.  These committees are governed and guided by the OSEA Constitution and the OSEA Board of Directors.

The Committee Chairs attend training prior to meeting with their committees to prepare them for the year. During All Committee Days, committee members meet to accomplish the tasks given to them by the Board at the beginning of the year. To join a State Committee, OSEA members volunteer at Conference. However, openings do occur throughout the year.

All committee meetings will be held at the OSEA Salem Headquarters and will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Being a Volunteer
OSEA members donate their time and energy to OSEA by serving on a State Committee.

Committee Projects
Whether it is lobbying at the state Capitol or developing the OSEA budget, OSEA State Committees perform valuable services for OSEA members.
