Description of Event
On March 2nd-3rd, OSEA members will gather in the State Capitol for Legislative Education Day (LED), our best opportunity to meet the legislators that represent our communities and shape the laws that impact educators, schools and students.
LED will begin with a day of workshops and community building on Sunday. On Monday, we’ll head to the Capitol for meetings with legislators, attend a public hearing on our priority legislation and hear from education champions. All LED participants are required to attend the Sunday training, which will prepare you to talk to legislators about the issues facing our schools and OSEA’s 2025 legislative priorities.
OSEA will cover mileage, meals, lodging (while available) and time release. Registration closes Friday, Feb. 21st.
The 2025 Leadership Summit will be held immediately before LED, on Saturday, March 1st. Each chapter can send two officers to participate in the summit, at no cost.
