Description of Event
All OSEA members may propose changes to our union's Constitution, Board Policy, Standing Rules or organizational positions. To do this, a member may submit a resolution which goes before delegates at the annual Conference. Delegates will debate and discuss the resolution and then vote on what action to take. Submitting a resolution is one of the best ways for a member to shape our union's policies and practices.
The Resolutions/Constitutions Committee is tasked with supporting members with resolution submissions. The committee can help you articulate your resolution, write it in the proper format and submit it in time for the following Conference. They will also research the impacts of all resolutions and prepare pro, con and fiscal impact statements to ensure delegates are informed about the issues they will vote on.
