OSEA’s 87th annual Conference was a whirlwind of business, skill-building and fun. Delegates representing our 138 chapters gathered in Portland from June 26-28, 2024, to discuss ideas, elect officers, vote on resolutions and set the course for our union in the coming year and beyond.

- Resolution 1: Association Sustainability – Referred back to maker (Board of Directors)
- Resolution 2: Per Capita Dues Reduction (Emergency Resolution) – Defeated
- Resolution 3: Associate Membership Eligibility – Passed
Adds eligibility criteria for Associate Membership to include individuals who are no longer eligible for active membership due to a separation from employment within the jurisdiction of an affiliated OSEA chapter due to chronic or catastrophic illness or injury. - Resolution 4: Association Review of Proposed Chapter Constitution Revisions Prior to Membership Approval – Withdrawn
- Resolution 5: Honorary Membership – Referred back to maker (Board of Directors)
- Resolution 6: Member Assistance Fund Event – Withdrawn
- Resolution 7: Study to Review Current Dues Structure – Passed (as amended)
As amended: Directs a study be conducted by an ad hoc committee to determine mean and median dues of all members, report on the number of members and amount of dues generated within brackets of $5.00 increments, to review the current dues structure and to explore alternatives that could involve a recalculation of the current dues structure or a dues cap. The study shall include the fiscal impact on the Association as a whole for each option studied and shall be completed no later than Conference 2026. - Resolution 8: Chapter Time Release – Withdrawn

The 2025-26 Budget was adopted.

- Vice President: Kris Dowell of Centennial Chapter 113
- Secretary: Mary Hofer of Bend-La Pine Chapter 6 (incumbent)
- Zone I Director: Misty Talerico of Tillamook Chapter 28 (incumbent)
- Zone III Director: Sella Bemrose of North Santiam Chapter 122 (incumbent)
- Zone V Director: Alecia Elverude of Central Point Chapter 47 (incumbent)
- Zone VII Director: Jeremias V. Martinez of Nyssa Chapter 82 (incumbent)
Conference Site Search
Conference 2027, 2028 and 2029 will be held at Seven Feathers Resort and Casino in Canyonville, OR. (NOTE: Conference 2026 will be held at the Holiday Inn Portland – Columbia Riverfront.)
