Staff Structure/Assistance
Organized along departmental lines, OSEA’s employees handle day-to-day administrative affairs of the organization and deliver representational and other services to members. Staff assistance is available by calling the local field office or OSEA State Office.
Field representatives assigned to chapters in a geographic area provide a full range of representational services. They are involved in negotiations, contract enforcement, organizing, administrative hearings and training. Your field representative is your first source of information and assistance on representational matters.
Organizers assist chapters with new hire outreach, membership drives and worksite organizer (WSO) programs by providing training and support. They also help chapters with contract campaigns during difficult bargaining and mobilization campaigns when members want to take a stand on local education issues. Like other OSEA staff, they are a knowledgeable resource for union information.
