Often Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) members elected to chapter office are taking on these new responsibilities with little or no past experience. We want all of our chapter leaders to have the necessary tools for success. That’s what OSEA Leadership Training is all about.
This is a chance to learn the nuts and bolts of union leadership, from understanding the roles of the various officer positions to OSEA’s structure and resources and parliamentary procedures. This training is designed for those who are new to the challenges of union leadership, as well as veteran leaders who desire a little refresher. Because it is crucial for chapter executive boards to work as a team, it is highly recommended that your chapter executive board attend the Leadership Training together, and be retrained as a team each time you have new officers.
