The Election Committee was busy this year preparing for the OSEA 2025 State Conference. The committee reviewed voting procedures that we will use in conducting the elections at Conference. There will also be several secret ballot votes held as we decide the future location of the OSEA Conferences. The committee discussed the elections held last year and went over the pros, cons, and any suggestions for improvements in that process.
I became chair of the Election Committee when Melissa Siegal, the former chair, accepted the position of OSEA Field Rep in the Portland area. The committee is comprised of Debbie Christian, Lana Mann, Nicole Scott, Bud Dowty, Teri Jones-Board Rep, Cydnie Meyer-Staff Liaison, and me.
I want to thank all the committee members for all their work so far. With all the prep work we have done to get prepared we will be ready for our last meeting to be held at the Conference. I would also like to thank the Resolution Committee and the ROSE Chapter for volunteering assistance at the conference.
With all the review and preparation done, I know we will be ready to hit the floor of the conference running!
