OSEA is a member’s union and we rely on members in many volunteer and leadership positions to keep our union running. One of the best ways to strengthen our union and empower members is to run for a seat on the OSEA Board of Directors!
The Board is a group of members who guide OSEA and make decisions at the state level in between our annual Conference. There are 10 seats on the Board: the president, vice president and secretary, and a director representing each of OSEA’s seven regional zones.
This year, Conference delegates will elect directors for Zones II, IV and VI. Zone director serve two-year terms.
Nominations can be made any time before Conference 2026 and there will be a call for additional nominations from the floor during Conference. You may nominate yourself or another member. Any candidate must be a member in good standing of a chapter in the zone they wish to represent.
Candidates who are nominated before March 1, 2026, will be invited to submit a photo and statement to run in the spring issue of the Journal. Use this form to make a nomination (PDF).
