OSEA’s annual theme contest for Classified School Employees Week (CEW) is back! Members are invited to suggest a slogan for CEW 2027, with a $250 prize for the best idea. The winning theme will be chosen by the OSEA Public Relations Committee, and used for posters, fliers, stickers and more to recognize classified during CEW in March.
The contest will run from Sept. 1-25, 2026. Members can enter the contest using the form on OSEA’s website.
The Public Relations Committee will select the winning theme during All Committee Day on Saturday, Oct. 3. Materials incorporating the theme will be published on the OSEA website in January.
What is Classified School Employees Week?
Every OSEA member knows that classified are essential to every school in Oregon. We make up more than half of the education workforce, and schools literally couldn’t open their doors without us.
Each year, the state of Oregon recognizes school staff during CEW, always the first week of March. If fact, CEW has been enshrined in state law since 2023! It’s our time to make sure every Oregonian knows who we are, what we do and why our students and schools depend on us. This year, CEW will be March 1-5, 2027.
