OSEA’s Work Shouldn’t Hurt, Other Advocacy Power Doubles

OSEA welcomes new employee Susan Allen to her role as our second Government Relations Specialist – doubling our advocacy power at the local and state levels! Susan is a proud product of Oregon’s public education system. With a background in Oregon policy development, Susan has worked in labor and for nonprofits, served as a legislative aide, worked on candidate and ballot measure campaigns, and was an assistant to an Oregon Labor Commissioner in the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI). With Oregon going into a full legislative session, Susan’s experience will be instrumental in our advocacy on Work Shouldn’t Hurt policies.

“As a lifelong Oregonian,” says Susan, “I am proud to join OSEA’s team, where I will support our members as we fight for better education funding, safer jobs, and the protection of our union rights.”
