President Wofford Speaks About Violence Against School Staff

This week, President Sarah Wofford traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)’s Workers’ Voice Conference. Wofford testified about the dangers staff face from students with challenging behaviors, saying, “In places where you wouldn’t assume there would be violence, people are injured weekly. And we can’t file a complaint against a district, we file a complaint against a student, a student we love… we do not want students to be removed unnecessarily, but we want to be safe.”
